Wilderness Trail Bottled in Bond Bourbon Launches in Lexington

Wilderness Trail Distillery is ready to bring it’s Bottled in Bond Bourbon Whiskey to Lexington, Kentucky. Local Bourbon lovers are invited to join the distillery owners at Belle’s Cocktail House on Friday, May 11th, at 6 pm to get a taste of their long-awaited whiskey.

Pat Heist and Shane Baker have decades of combined experience in the whiskey industry – after founding Ferm Solutions in 2006, the two helped dozens of distilleries streamline and optimize their distilling process before starting out on their own. Wilderness Trail opened in Danville, Kentucky in 2013, and is finally ready to release its first Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon.

Guests will gather at Belle’s Cocktail House in downtown Lexington to mingle with Heist, Baker, and Wilderness Trail Marketing and Events Coordinator Haley Perros this Friday night to get the first pours in Lexington. For $8, payable at the door, guests will get a pour in a commemorative take home glass. Baker has plenty to say about what’s in store for attendees.

“Our first Bourbon release is a traditional mature Kentucky Bourbon whiskey you would have found decades ago. It is a Bottled in Bond, Single Barrel. It is aged over four years and bottled at 100 proof. They have the taste and nose of an older Bourbon — mellow nose with sweet fruity oak, caramels twisted with creamy vanilla nut and a touch of chocolate. Enjoying it neat, it finishes silky smooth and long and proofing down on the rocks brings out more expressions of smoother aromatics and a creamier mouthfeel finish.”

Want to taste it for yourself? Click here to RSVP, or join us at Belle’s this Friday from 6 – 8.
