Heaven Hill is putting their latest limited release straight into the hands of fans with their upcoming ‘Toast to a Treasury Agent’ event. On May 30th, join them at the historic Wickland Estate and score your bottle of Spring 2019 Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond.
Last year, Heaven Hill announced the launch of their diamond decanter series. Each “distilling season,” spring and fall, the distillery releases a limited edition, bottled-in-bond bottling of their wheated recipe Old Fitzgerald bourbon.
The bottles take their name from John E. Fitzgerald, a treasury agent who held the keys to bonded barrel warehouses in the late 1800s. Bottles labeled “bottled-in-bond” must be aged in warehouses bonded under government supervision. Treasury agents like Fitzgerald, however, often sampled from special barrels in these warehouses that they preferred to others. When distillery employees bottling whiskey from these bonded warehouses found a light barrel, they knew that Fitzgerald had found it first.
Heaven Hill is celebrating this legacy with this upcoming “Toast to a Treasury Agent” event by raising a glass to the man who lent his name to their Old Fitzgerald brand. The event, which has limited availability, will include welcome cocktails, food, local live music, and a tasting with Heaven Hill’s Whiskey Professor Bernie Lubbers. And most importantly, it will include a bottle of the Spring 2019 Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond.
The event will take place May 30th at Wickland Estate from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Reservations are $229 per person – click here to make yours!
