Friday, June 23rd – Bardstown Bourbon Company is debuting its DISTILLERY ONLY RELEASE of its Collaborative Series “Chateau Doisy Daene”. The makeup being a 10 Year Bourbon and 6 Year Rye finished in Sauternes barrels for 7 months, then reaged an additional 4 months in toasted oak.
Sauternes is a a sweet white wine from Sauternes in the Bordeaux region of France.
TASTING NOTES (Brand Provided)
Honeyed raisins with cinnamon and white flowers blend with marmalade and toasted almond, creating a complex aroma that highlights the best of Sauternes, Bourbon, and Rye. On the palate, ripe grapes and caramel lead to toasted oak.
Bardstown Bourbon Company is a Bourbon Country must see as a modern distillery destination. They have a renown culinary and cocktail onsite program. Absolutely gorgeous campus. Certainly worth the visit as we want to try this new Collaborative Series release.
