The priceless experience is being generously donated by Buffalo Trace to benefit the LEE Initiative. Bidders have until this Saturday, June 20th at 8:00 EDT to place their final bids. The current bid is $40,000.
The LEE Initiative Restaurant Relief Workers Program, founded by Louisville Chef Ed Lee, has helped out those in the restaurant industry that have suffered since on the onset of COVID-19. The opportunity includes a VIP tour at Buffalo Trace, private lunch with Chef Edward Lee, barrel tasting of four barrels of W.L. Weller Full Proof Bourbon, personalized bottles yielded from your barrel (~ 150 – 750ml bottles), and the empty bourbon barrel.
After the winner has completed the barrel pick Buffalo Trace Distillery will hand bottle it in its entirety. Each of the bottles from the selected barrel will be labeled with a custom medallion with either a personalized message or business logo.
The actual barrel you selected can be stenciled with the W.L. Weller logo and shipped with your bottles to use for display or keep as a keepsake.
The visit to Buffalo Trace Distillery and private barrel pick will take place in 2021.
