Update 5/19: An ultra-rare, complete signed set of the Pappy Van Winkle collection has sold for over $20,000 at auction. After 31 bids, the winner scored the set for $21,600! The auction included the entire Van Winkle lineup, Old Rip Van Winkle, Van Winkle Special Reserve 12 year, Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year, Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year, and Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year – all signed by Julian Van Winkle. The auction ended at 5 p.m. EST on May 8th.
The Van Winkle Family also donated a rare 25-year-old Old Rip Van Winkle Bourbon barrel head, which sold at auction on April 29th for $20,025. The proceeds from both auctions are headed to The LEE Initiative Restaurant Relief Workers Program, founded by Louisville Chef Ed Lee.

The LEE Initiative Restaurant Relief Workers Program, founded by Louisville Chef Ed Lee, has helped out those in the restaurant industry that have suffered since on the onset of COVID-19. As of publication, the top bid was already $16,000. The auction-site values the collection at $796.
