Basil Hayden’s Lemon Julep

Derby Day may have passed, but mint julep season is far from over. Make this summer-approved Lemon Julep all weekend long to celebrate sun, spring, and your favorite lady! The low-proof Basil Hayden’s blends perfectly with delicate elderflower and mint, and the touch of sweet citrus finishes out this warm-weather whiskey favorite. Cheers!

Recipe by TJ Vong (Denver, CO)

INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
¾ parts elderflower liqueur
1 part lemon juice
¾ parts simple syrup
4 mint leaves
Soda  water
Lemon wheel (for garnish)
