Angel’s Envy To Build a Distillery in Henry County, Kentucky

Henry County will soon be home for an Angel’s Envy Distillery. According to documents WDRB obtained from the Henry Country planning commission, Angel’s Envy plans to develop 350 acres of farmland between Cambellsburg and New Castle.

The development will reportedly include a distillery and five warehouses, as well as a possible visitors center. It could eventually become a stop on the Bourbon Trail, although the distillery has not confirmed any plans.

The five warehouses, to be constructed beginning next year and continuing over the next eight years, will be able to hold 225,000 barrels. Most of these barrels are already being produced at the Angel’s Envy Distillery on Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky.

Angel’s Envy was founded in 2011 by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson, his son Wes, and grandson Kyle. They’ve been crafting finished bourbon and rye in Lousiville ever since. In 2015 the brand was purchased by Bacardi Limited, but is still led by the Henderson family.
