Woodford Welcomes Warmer Weather With Summer Dinner Series

Each month this summer, Woodford Reserve and chef in residence Ouita Michel will open the distillery doors to host a Best of Kentucky feast. With live music, distillery tours, and a special menu for each month, these dinners will be a can’t miss Bourbon culinary experience.

On June 23rd, Woodford starts the series off with Best of Kentucky Barbecue, welcoming award-winning Pitmaster John Foreman, owner of Old Hickory Bar-B-Q in Owensboro, Kentucky. Bluegrass favorites Grits & Soul will play while guests enjoy BBQ with all the fixings. The cost will be $80 per person, and the event will run from 6-9 PM.

On June 28th, the Summer Dinner Series continues with The Farm to Table experience. A southern inspired menu with fresh local ingredients will be served, including a Woodford mashbill risotto made from their proprietary grains and a selection of paired cocktails. The cost will be $100 per person, and the event will run from 6-9 PM.

The final event in the series will include a nod to central Kentucky’s twin industries – Bourbon and horses – and an outdoor showing of the movie “Seabiscuit.”  Bourbon, Bits, Bites, and the Big Screen will take place August 25th, and will offer the option to add on a tour of a local horse farm prior to a gourmet concession stand style dinner. The cost will be $80 per person and run from 6-9 PM.
