Woodford Reserve to Host Master’s Collection Dinner

Woodford Reserve will host a dinner on Saturday, November 11th to celebrate the release of the 2017’s Master’s Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley. The evening will feature distillery tours and an outstanding menu created by Chef-in-Residence Ouita Michel that pairs perfectly with this 12th release of the Master’s Collection.

The evening will begin at 6 pm with welcome cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the 150 year old distillery at 6:30, and dinner and live music will begin at 8. In addition to cocktails pairings and live music, guest will have the opportunity to reserve a bottle of the Cherry Wood Smoked Barley.

Guests will sip on two welcome cocktails – a Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Cherry Wood sparkling Rob Roy and a Distiller’s Select Apple Cider Sparkler with Sassafrass Bitters – and nosh on smoked salmon and baked Brie hors d’oeuvres. The first course will be a roasted Reed Valley Pink Lady apple salad with toasted pecans, crumbled Benton’s bacon, Kenny’s reserve cheddar, local arugula, and maple cider vinaigrette, followed by an entree of pan roasted duck breast and confit of leg with Woodford soaked cherries, a rich duck jus, parsnip puree, and barley risotto with roasted mushrooms. Dessert will be a chocolate cheesecake with hazelnut crust, Woodford caramel sauce, and Double Oaked crème.
