Woodford Reserve Announces the Release of their 2017 Limited Edition Master’s Collection Bourbon

Woodford Reserve announces the twelfth release of its limited edition Master’s Collection — Cherry Wood Smoked Barley — which will hit shelves this November.

The Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley was conceptualized and created by Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris. Rather than using natural malted barley, which is used in Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Chris modified the grain recipe by selecting malt that had been smoked with cherry wood during the kilning process.

This is one of the first Kentucky Bourbons to use malted barley that has been exposed to cherry wood smoke. With a mash bill of 70% corn and 30% malt, the Cherry Wood Smoked mash bill has a higher concentration of malt than a traditional bourbon.

Cherry Wood Smoked Barley will be available for purchase in select markets in all 50 states beginning in November. The suggested retail price will be $99.99 for a 750ml bottle presented at 90.4 proof.
