2013 Town Branch Stream Cleanup

The Bourbon Review partnered with the Fayette Alliance and Town Branch Distillery for our Fourth Annual Town Branch Stream Cleanup on Sunday, September 15th, 2013.

Clean streams are vital to our community’s health and quality of life, not to mention to the sustainability of Kentucky’s booming bourbon industry; which includes Lexington’s Town Branch Distillery. Kentucky’s land and water resources are all necessary ingredients in bourbon and our state is recognized internationally for its native spirit – a testament to the significance of Kentucky’s natural resources. With the guidance of the Fayette Alliance, local volunteers worked hard to pick up trash and debris and cleared invasive species from our city’s founding waterway.

This was our strongest cleanup to date, both in volunteers and productive impact on the Town Branch.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and we’ll see again next year!
