New monthly event whiskey series “The Whiskey Files” at country posh Hermitage Farm

Hermitage Farm

Although it doesn’t feel like it yet for many of us, theoretically, Spring is around the corner!

Hermitage Farms (just outside of Louisville) is a country bougie spot you definitely want to check out. A world class restaurant, cocktail program, Bourbon destination…all nestled on the beautiful equine enchanting grounds of Hermitage Farm.

It gets better…they now have a monthly whiskey series!

“The Whiskey Files” will be hosted in their recently renovated Barn6 space.

Since opening in 2020, Hermitage Farm has offered tours and tastings that celebrate bourbon’s agricultural heritage from grain to glass. Barn8 Farm Restaurant & Bourbon Bar offers a wide selection of the spirits, including a number of exclusive private barrel selections and bottles available for purchase in the Bourbon Library.

The Whiskey Files series expands on the farm’s tour offerings, inviting founders and distillers to share their stories and spirits with bourbon lovers.

Each month, a distillery is highlighted for The Whiskey Files in Barn6’s intimate setting — a space shared with two retired racehorses who call the barn home.

Guests can expect a lively discussion alongside a selected samples, and seating is extremely limited. The next event is 7 p.m. March 9 with Steve and Donna Nally of Bardstown Bourbon Company.

Upcoming events will feature Peggy Noe Stevens, Rabbit Hole, Old Carter, Kentucky Owl, Catoctin Creek, New Riff, Woodford Reserve and others. The series kicked off with Kentucky Peerless in February.
