PRESS RELEASE From Chattanooga Whiskey

Cabernet Cask Finish

Chattanooga Whiskey announced the newest release in their Barrel Finishing Series: Silver Oak Cabernet Cask Finished. This marks the third release in their limited edition Finishing Series, which celebrates the union of Tennessee High Malt with a variety of finishing casks.

Cabernet Cask Finished is crafted with 5 single malt mash bills, each containing a range of toasted, roasted and caramel malts – including a custom-toasted barley malt developed with Riverbend Malt House.

The whiskey was aged for greater than 4 years, including over 18 months in Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Casks. The result is a
dynamic balance between the bold flavors of malt, fruit and toasted oak – highlighting the best of both whiskey and wine. Expect notes of mixed berry, toasted oak, thyme and molasses, followed by a long, malty finish.

Silver Oak Cabernet Cask Finished will be available in broad distribution and at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery at a suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 750ml bottle.

Batch XXIX

The Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery released Batch XXIX: Centenary Cask and announced that Centenary Cask will be an annual release in their award-winning Experimental Single Batch Series.

Batch XXIX is a blend of Experimental pot-distilled mash bills that were married and finished in a rare, 100-year-old Oloroso Sherry puncheon. The Sherry puncheon will be refilled in the solera style, ensuring each annual 100-gallon batch will be uniquely different from the last, and will contain traces of whiskeys from previous fills.

Batch XXIX: Centenary Cask is available exclusively at the Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery at $74.99 for a 750ml bottle. Expect aged-wine notes of soaked fruit cask, toasted walnut, and bread pudding.
