With an agreeable price point which thankfully hasn’t gone crazy on the secondary (yet, gulp), decent availability all things considered, and an admired wheated Bourbon flavor profile – Larceny Barrel Proof has become a bit of a darling in the Bourbon buyer’s world.
Be on the lookout as the brand’s 1st BP release of 2024 is set to debut in January. Getting all technical, its code name “A124” is pretty easy to break down. The “A” represents it being the first release of 3 annual drops (others being “B” and “C”). The “1” noting the debuting month, and the “24” being the year it splashed.
ABOUT THE RELEASE: A124 is a Small Batch clocking in at 124.2 proof, is uncut, and is aged in the brand’s traditional 6 – 8 years per Heaven Hill. The mashbill being 68% corn, 20% wheat, 12 % malted barley.
PRICING & AVAILABILITY: Nationwide with SRP of $64.99. The 2nd and 3rd Larceny BP are suggested to hit May and September respectively.
