Heaven Hill is celebrating 85 years of distilling excellence with the release of a limited edition 13 year single barrel bourbon.
The release is comprised of just one barrel of bourbon, filled on December 13, 2006 and bottled on December 13, 2019, as a nod to the December 13th date that the distillery filled their first barrel of bourbon in 1935. The bourbon was aged 13 years in Rickhouse G and bottled without chill filtration at 107 proof to commemorate Heaven Hill’s original barrel entry proof.
“Perseverance is a hallmark of Heaven Hill’s history, and a value resonating across the industry this year,” said President Max L. Shapira. “Our steadfast commitment to quality and an enduring legacy continues to guide Heaven Hill’s path forward. We look forward to lifting America’s spirit for the next 85 years, as we have since 1935.”
Like the rare Heaven Hill 27 year Bourbon, this release will come hand-numbered and packaged in a custom wooden box bearing the distillery’s HH initials and a blue satin base. Tasting notes from Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll will accompany each bottle.
Heaven Hill 85th Anniversary 13-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be available later this year at the Bourbon Heritage center and limited Kentucky retailers for a suggested retail price of around $300.
