Get ready for a new kind of nightcap with the debut of seven spirit-infused ice cream flavors from Haagen-Dazs, including two bourbon favorites.
The 7 new spirited flavors include Irish Cream Brownie, Rum Tres Leches, Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, Bourbon Praline Cream, and Non-Dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee with an additional treat of dark chocolate dipped Irish Cream Cookie Squares available in the supermarket.
The new treats weigh in at .5% alcohol, so no, they do not require an ID, and you won’t run the risk of a DUI after one pint.
The flavor genius behind these concoctions is Aaron Butterworth, who told Esquire that the Stout Chocolate Pretzel “was a gamble” and that “the concept was sort of a science experiment.” She was concerned while adding the maltiness from the stout to an ice cream, but counteracted his concern and sought playful balance with the additions of salty pretzel and sweet chocolate.
Häagen-Dazs brand manager Rachel Jaiven said in a press release that the collection is “an incredible combination of fine spirits and our rich, creamy ice cream to create the perfect indulgence. The Spirits Collection was expertly crafted to offer new, extraordinary ways to indulge… each flavor is perfect to pair with your favorite cocktail, elevate a boozy float or simply enjoy on its own.”
These new fully packed pints run for $5.29 (for a 14 oz. carton) and are available in all Haagen-Dazs locations and select supermarkets April 1, 2019.
