Bluegrass Distillers Announces Release Dates for its Blue Corn and Wheated Bourbons

Lexington, KY – Bluegrass Distillers announced on Wednesday the release dates of two of their new Bourbons. Their Kentucky Wheated Bourbon Whiskey will be released Saturday, July 29th at with a release celebration at the distillery at 10 a.m., while their Kentucky Blue Corn Bourbon Whiskey will arrive Saturday, September 2nd at 10 a.m.

The Kentucky Wheated Bourbon Whiskey will have a mashbill of 75% yellow corn, 20% wheat, and 5% malted barley. It will be bottled at 89 proof and be available for sale at the release party in 750 ml bottles for $50. After the launch party, select stores in Kentucky and Minnesota will carry 750ml bottles for $48 and 375ml bottles for $26.

The Kentucky Blue Corn Whiskey will be available for purchase only at the distillery. The mashbill will consist of 75% locally grown blue corn, 20% wheat, and 5% malted barley. The first release is very limited, with only 250 bottles available. The Blue Corn expression will be bottled at 89 proof and a 750ml bottle will cost $52. Both release celebrations will have treats and swag, with live Bluegrass music playing from 9 am to 1 pm at the Blue Corn release on Sept. 2nd.
