Angel’s Envy Announces 2017 Cask Strength

Louisville Distilling Company has announced the limited-edition release of Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels.

Angel’s Envy begins as a super premium Bourbon with a mashbill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. The barrels (aged up to 7 years) that have been hand-selected for the Cask Strength expression are then blended and receive an extended finish in Portuguese port wine casks. “We started a special tradition with Cask Strength in 2012. I look forward to continuing this tradition for many generations,” said Wes Henderson, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Angel’s Envy.

The 2017 Cask Strength is bottled at 124.5 proof and has an MSRP of $200 for a 750ml bottle. This year’s expression will be available October 1st in select markets: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, and Washington DC.
