Spice up your Salad with Buffalo Trace Bourbon Vinaigrette

Spice up your salad with this bourbon vinaigrette dressing!

If you’re still keeping up with your New Year’s resolution, or are looking to eat healthier in general, here’s a way to add your favorite ingredient to salads. It only takes a little bit of bourbon to add a lot of flavor, so our Buffalo Trace Bourbon Vinaigrette is your new best friend in the kitchen. Use it as a dipping sauce for veggies or as a marinade for chicken, steak, or pork. Just cover meat and soak for an hour in the fridge (or overnight if you can). The best part: it takes less than 10 minutes to make! And you probably already have most of these ingredients in your pantry.

-1 tablespoon minced shallot

-2 tablespoons of bourbon (we used Buffalo Trace

-1 table spoons apple cider vinegar

-1 teaspoon dijon mustard

-1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup (we used Watson’s Barrel Aged Syrup but any pure maple syrup works!)

-1/2 teaspoon of sugar

-1/4 teaspoon of salt

-1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

-2/3 cup of olive oil

Mix together ingredients in medium sized bowl

Stir in olive oil and whisk vigorously
