Willett lovers should plan to flock to Lexington later this month for a dinner at the 21c Museum Hotel restaurant Lockbox.

Next Thursday September 20th, the for a three course whiskey dinner featuring a flight, cocktails, and some damn good food.

Here’s what they said:

“In celebration of Bourbon Heritage Month, we’re welcoming Willett Distillery for a three-course dinner that’s all about… you guessed it: bourbon. Each course will be paired with a bourbon cocktail or just plain neat. Along the way, Master Distiller Drew Kulsveen will provide insights into all things Willett. Reception begins at 6:30pm, followed by dinner at 7:15pm. Price is $100 per person.”

The beverage team at Lockbox told us that they plan on pouring, “Some of our new 21c selects Family Estate bourbon, and Drew Kuslveen is going to be bringing something special as well.”

Patrons will be getting three cocktails over the course of the night, with a flight of three bourbons to come at the end of the meal. Lockbox’s Chef Jonathan Searle is cooking up some exciting menu items to pair with the whiskeys, including crispy oysters with remoulade and chow chow to start, and for dessert – “Fall apple fritters, salty caramel, apple butter and aged Gouda.”

This event is part of the Fork & Bottle series, which features beverages alongside the hotel’s culinary talents. They’ve done wine and beer in the past, and it’s an obvious pick to do whiskey during Bourbon Heritage Month. Sorry Louisville and Cincinnati folks.
