Was your New Year’s resolution to eat healthier – and also to drink more Bourbon? You’ve come to the right place! Rebalance at the end of the day with this ginger, turmeric, & beet sipping elixir. This tangy, spiced sipping vinegar enjoyed is best over ice – and with a little Bourbon added. Starring ingredients like McCormick Ginger and Turmeric, this blend of beet juice, hibiscus tea, fruit juice and apple cider vinegar is loaded with delicious goodness.

To transform it into a tasty Old Fashioned, prepare the Ginger, Turmeric and Beet Elixir as directed. Add 6 ounces of Bourbon, 2 ounces orange-flavored liqueur (such as Grand Marnier), and 1/4 cup sugar into the elixir; stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 4 ice-filled Old Fashioned glasses and garnish each drink with a maraschino cherry.

Ingredients

1 cup fruit juice, such as passion fruit or mango
1/3 cup unfiltered cider vinegar
1/3 cup beet juice
4 hibiscus tea bags
2 tablespoons McCormick Ginger, Ground
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet Organic Cardamom, Ground
1/4 teaspoon McCormick Ground Turmeric

Instructions

Stir all ingredients in pitcher, beverage container or large liquid measuring cup until well blended. Cover.

Refrigerate overnight to extract flavor from hibiscus tea bags. Remove and squeeze tea bags dry, releasing liquid into elixir. Discard tea bags.

Stir elixir right before serving. Pour into small beverage glasses. Refrigerate any unused elixir for later use.
